I've recently discovered internet tethering on the iPhone... awesome.  Basically here's what you do:

1.) Open Safari in with your iPhone and go to http://help.benm.at

2.) Scroll down and click on Mobileconfigs and follow the instructions

3.) Restart your iPhone

To access the tethering go to Settings -> General -> Network -> Internet Tethering

Now you can turn this on and off.
